Application Notes: When this chemical company was building its latest inland chemical tanker, they wanted to ensure that the materials used were not only top quality, but could be installed on the stringent time frame of the build. When it came to sound damping, they sought out Mascoat Sound Control-dB for various reasons.

First, in-house paint crews can install the coating rapidly and during off-hours. Second, the coating is lightweight in comparison to other sound damping options. In fact, the coating weighs about as much as the glue in a tile sound damping system. Along with the fact that it is an extremely effective sound damping option, the client specified the coating for the living quarters to protect personnel on board.

After launch in May 2014, the client noted that the noise levels were within acceptable parameters and they were happy with the application.
